Over The Moon!

When it gets to autumn homeowners start to think about ways to make their home warmer for the coming winter. In addition to new windows and doors that offer greater energy efficiency, we’re pleased to install the innovative, insulated Warm Roof, designed to keep your conservatory or orangery at a more ambient temperature throughout the year.

Mr and Mrs T of Taverham were “over the moon” with their new Warm Roof, which not only looks very stylish, but is thermally efficient (U-Value of 0.15 W/m²⁾ due to its excellent insulation system. Their conservatory used to be cold in the winter but at times too hot in the summer, now they’re looking forward to using their comfortable ‘new’ room throughout the year.

Outings With Orangeries

With a Bank Holiday weekend on the horizon you may be planning to visit a stately home or gardens, many of which have beautiful orangeries.

In Norfolk, the Blickling Estate (run by the National Trust) has a fine 18th century orangery set in its grounds. Silver Service

At Horsford Window and Conservatory Company, we’re proud to have been helping to improve the homes of Norfolk residents for 25 years!

We started out in September 1992, selling windows and doors from the house of Brian Hoffman (former Managing Director) who lived in the village of Horsford, hence the company name.

  

From there we were able to open our first showroom and storage unit, situated on Patterson Road, Norwich. The premises consisted of a small shop with a garage at the rear, where our business continued to grow. We decided to attend markets held in Sheringham and Cromer. This proved so successful, with custom growing in the area, that we decided to open our second showroom in Cromer, where we had established a great client base.

In September 2003, 11 years after starting out and with the business continuing to expand, we decided to move our Norwich office to a new, larger showroom and storage facility in Marriott Close on the City Trading Estate. It was also at this time, that current director, Gary Cooper, took over the reins.

Today we pride ourselves on our great service and quality of products, including windows, doors, conservatories, orangeries and the new warm roof. We’re FENSA registered and a Which Trusted Trader and have received a wealth of lovely comments over the years from satisfied customers.

This year is our silver anniversary but we like to think that we deliver gold standard service!

A Question Of Standards

When choosing which UPVC windows and doors to buy for your home, you may assume that all the products and services offered by the various companies that you see are all pretty much the same. However, the quality and specifications of home improvement products can vary considerably. So how can you be sure that you’re choosing products of the highest standards?

At Horsford Window and Conservatory Company Ltd, we ensure that all our products are of premium quality and are fitted to the highest standards. To assure our customers that they’re getting the best, we provide them with a comprehensive checklist, highlighting our exacting standards.

Before you decide on which doors and windows to choose for your home, be sure to ask questions such as:

• Is the width of the frame 70mm? (Many companies supply frames under this width)
• Is the actual window (not just the lock) covered by the Police Approved ‘Secured by Design’ Licence? (Ask to see a copy)
• Is the actual window covered by a British Standard licence? (Ask to see a copy of the certificate)
• Is the UPVC guaranteed by the actual producer for 10 years against warping, cracking or discolouration? (Ask for proof)
• Are the ‘keeps’ (the bits that the locks fit into) made from steel? (Some companies still use plastic)
• Is there a steel anti-jemmy device fitted on all window-opening sections?
